A home-based grooming studio can provide:
A calmer environment
Less noise and stress
One-to-one attention
Flexible care
A more personal experience
This is especially beneficial for puppies, nervous dogs and elderly dogs.
-
If fleas are discovered during the appointment, a flea cleaning surcharge will apply to cover additional studio and equipment cleaning and sanitising requirements.
In severe cases, the groom may need to be stopped and rescheduled following treatment.
-
No. One of the benefits of one-to-one dog grooming is that your dog will not need to be crated during their appointment. Your dog will receive individual attention in a calm, home-based environment without the stress of a busy salon setting.
Crates may only be used if a dog is collected late and the next appointment has already arrived, for the safety and comfort of all dogs present.
-
Appointment times vary depending on:
Breed
Coat condition
Size
Behaviour
Grooming service booked
Most appointments take between 1.5–3 hours
-
All grooming prices are “starting from” prices, as every dog’s coat, behaviour and grooming needs are different.
During your first appointment, we carry out a full consultation to assess your dog’s:
Coat condition
Size
Temperament
Grooming requirements
Time needed for the groom
Once we have assessed your dog, we will confirm the final grooming price before proceeding with the appointment.
-
Yes. A booking fee is required to secure all appointments. This can either be deducted from the cost of your groom or transferred to a future appointment.
Booking fees are only refundable if the appointment is cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled groom. Late cancellations, missed appointments and no-shows will result in the booking fee being retained
-
Please ensure your dog has had the opportunity to toilet before arrival and avoid feeding a large meal immediately before the appointment.
If your dog has any medical conditions, behavioural concerns or allergies, please let us know before the groom.
-
Many dogs feel nervous during their first grooming appointment, especially puppies or rescue dogs. We work patiently and gently to help dogs feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the grooming process.
-
Due to my insurance you will not be able to stay in the studio during the groom. This will also help dogs remain calm and focused, this often helps dogs settle more quickly.
-
Limited out-of-hours appointments may be available on request and are subject to an additional surcharge.
-
No. We do not use cage dryers. Dogs are hand dried in a calm one-to-one environment.
-
We use high-quality shampoos and grooming products that are vegan friendly, cruelty-free and suitable for sensitive skin. Our products are carefully selected to be gentle on your dog’s skin and coat while providing a professional grooming finish.
-
Your dog’s welfare will always come first. We will attempt gentle de-matting for a maximum of 10 minutes where it is safe and humane to do so.
If the coat is severely matted, or de-matting would cause unnecessary stress or discomfort, the coat will need to be clipped or shaved. The final length will depend on the severity and tightness of the matting.
Severe matting can cause pain, skin irritation and bruising underneath the coat, so removing the matting safely and comfortably is always the priority.
-
We accept both cash and card payments for grooming appointments. Any remaining balance is payable at collection after your dog’s groom has been completed.
